The daily average figures for legal immigration

from China were:-

181, including CPG passport holders.

180, excluding CPG passport holders with visas

for final destination.

This is a sharp increase on the May figures of 142 and 137.

433 illegal immigrants from China were arrested during the month, compared with 295 in May, This is the highest arrest figure since repatriation commenced on 30 November 1974.
