2/ Concerning the administrative staff
a) The Sister Chiu Kwan-ying Incident: Between 1975 and 19076, Sister Chiu taught about 10 periods each week in our school. In the documents submitted to the Education Dept by the school, it was said that Sister Chiu was a "volunteer"
However, she had
been aid a monthly salary of some $1,650 from the administration funds. (There are documents providing evidence.)
b) The Sister Mak Wing-yi Incident: Between 1976 and 1977, Sister Mak rave about ten lessons each week in our school. She
said that she was a volunteer and her service was rendered free .
But she drew a monthly salary of some $1,400 from the administration funds.
c) The withholding of the back pay of Miss Wu Lai-king:
Miss Wu started working in our school in Sept 1973, receiving a monthly salary of $600. In early 1974, the Education Dept issued the back pay. The back pay for Miss Wu should be $480, but she/
was only given $240. It was not until some time later that Miss
wu discovered the school had held up $240.
d) The Miss Tan Chun-lau incident: Miss Tam had been secretary of the school. In 1974, the school authorites altered the old pay sheet signed by Miss Tam and increased the salary figures. Because
this pay sheet had been altered, the school did not want Miss Tam
to know about it. Therefore, the school authorities asked Miss
Tam to sign again on a new pay sheet. THe figures on the new
pay sheet are the same as the actual amount of salary Miss Tam
had received. The altered one was intended to deceive the auditor.
But Miss Tam asked to examined the old pay sheet first before
signing on the new one. Moreover, she warned the school authorities
not to force her to sign, or she would report to the police.. Seeing
