Dear Mr. Bray,

Admiring your great contribution during your service in the colony, espacially appreciate it very very much of your close co-operation with Mr. Paul Tsui during the 1967 civil riot which you had worked day and night in order to put down the volatile situation.

Working restlessly like your goodself, I had witten to Chair- man Mao 4 times to state the situation of Hongkong and persua- de the Mainland Government not to disturb Hongkong if they have no intention to take back the colony, because the stabi- lity of the colony would benefit the Mainland Government. The political background and living style between Hongkong and mainland were completely different in almost 7 or 8 times. If they wanted to take back the colony, it was like germ decaying the Mainland Government.

I take this opportunity to enclose herewith for your reference my speeches' copies towards the current event of Sacred Heart Golden Jubilee Secondary School. Though it has nothing concern about me, I am very furious and upset about its development since I was then a priest and religion believer.

You have long been known as an expert of Chinese affairs and you are familiar with the situation of Hongkong. I sincerely
