Following the completion of Police investigations and Court proceedings, all financial irregularities were rectified in March 1978, when the $321,346.62 previously not brought to account was dealt with as follows:

Although the Committee makes no recommendation for the disposal of these monies in any other way, having regard to its finding "that the cause of the discontent stemmed originally from the matter of mismanagement of school funds", this is clearly an area of potential future agitation.

Mr CHAN Chung-ling has shown himself aware of this question by addressing (with two other signatories) a letter to the Chairman of the Committee, requesting that the Committee indicate to the Education Department how these monies should be disposed of. The Secretary to the Committee of Inquiry has informed
