Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff of Precious Blood Golden Jubilee Secondary School
(Old Contract)
This School is sponsored by the Precious Blood Sisters with the object of glorifying God through education of the young. The whole teaching staff are therefore expected to attend and assist in running activities and assemblies designated by the school in the spirit of the above objective.

Teachers are responsible for helping in the organisation and guidance of pupils' extra-curricular activities, and their co- operations with various sections of the school besides teaching are required in educating the young.

Any activities affiliated with any political parties are strictly forbidden.

Once teaching subjects and time-tables and other duties to a particular teacher have been assigned, these cannot be altered or changed without the approval of the School Administration Committee.
Teachers are not allowed to conduct any activities not related to teaching during lessons.
The reference books and supplementary reading material or notes recommended by teachers should be related to the teaching syllabus and in line with education objective of the school and these should also be approved by the school authority.
If teachers wish to assemble students after school for the purpose of supplementary lessons, experiments or tests etc. they must give the reasons for retaining the students, time required and the number of students involved in obtaining the school authority's permission.
In the interest of the school, teachers shall not use the name of the school for any kind of activity and make any collection of or receive subscriptions from pupils without permission.
To set an example to pupils, teachers must be punctual for their lessons or duty. Form teachers and teachers on-duty have to arrive at the school 10 mins. in advance and stay on till the end of the last lesson. Late arrival to or early departure from the school with reasons have to be reported to the school's Administration Office.
In order to maintain the spirit of the profession, it is not advisable for full-time teachers to take up any outside work. Unless permission
has been obtained from the school's Administration Office, teachers are required to stay in the school during school hours.
