scheduled to open Form 6 classes in the school term starting 1977 and preparation
had gone underway. Yet after the uncover of financial mismanagement, the then acting
principal refused opening Form 6 in 1977 and said it would be opened in 1978),
but the School had not given any definite answer.

On February 15, 1978, each of the Form 5 class wrote to the Principal, the School
Council and the Education Department requesting the School to open Fprm 6 class
in the coming school term. No reply was made by any parties until March 23, 1978.
The teachers wrote to the Management ommittee asking for the opening of "orm 6
class. No reply was given.
On February 23, 1978, Sister Leung, the former principal, was found guilty of
making forgery amounting to over HK$8,000, and sentenced to six months of im-
prsfionment but suspended for two years.
$2 On February 24, 1978, a press conference was organized by the .K. Federation of
Students to demand a public announcement of the results of the investigation. The
teachers clammed mismanagement of funds involved over $300,000.

On February 26, another press conference making the same demand was organized by
the Professional Teachers' Union, the Education Action Group and the "ederation
of Catholic Students.

In early March, 1978, the Preparatory ́ommittee for matters concerning opening
of Form 6 class tried to make appointment with the Principal to discuss the
matter with representatives from all Form 5 classes, yet they got no reply from
the Principal.
56 On March 2, 1978, the Precious Blood Order silently returned HK$320,000 to the
Volden Jubilee School account. This was never revealed by the School Authority nor
the Precious Blood Order, but was only mentioned in a brief statement made by
the Education Department on April, 4, 1978.
37 On March 6, 1978, the teachers had again approached the Principal and the Management
Committee asking for a frank discussion on the method of management of the school
