Assistant Workshop Instructor

If a school is unable to find a suitable candidate for employment as

a Workshop Instructor II an Assistant Workshop Instructor may be

employed. To be eligible for appointment to the grade of Assistant

Workshop Instructor, a candidate must

(a) have completed an acceptable apprenticeship in his trade and have

at least two years of practical experience in that trade since

completion of apprenticeship;

AND

(b) has satisfied the Director by means of a test of his ability to

use and maintain tools and machinery;

(c) have an acceptable standard of written and spoken English.

Laboratory Technician III

To be eligible for appointment to the grade of Laboratory Technician III

a candidate should preferably be under 35 years of age and must have

either five subjects, including English and two subjects relevant to

the duties of the post, such as physics, chemistry or biology, at Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education (English), or an equivalent qualification.

Laboratory Technician 11

This is a promotion post for Laboratory Technicians III.
