Throughout all stages of secondary education, students will need good personal, educational and vocational guidance. It is essential that those young people who wish to continue their studies should do so in an institution which is suitable for them in terms of their ability and inclination. Equally important is the choice of the right course and the right subjects, and eventually, of the right career. Government attaches considerable importance to developing its guidance services over the coming years. This development will include the appointment of student guidance officers.
