Board for Social Responsibility, had asked for views on the best means of doing this.
It was agreed to ask the Archbishop to write a private letter to the Prime Minister in support of a proposal from the voluntary agencies about increased numbers and also at a later date to make some public statement, details to be discussed. The Secretary was asked to follow up with Mr. Goodhart and Mr. Hanning.
c) Executive Committee of UNHCR, Geneva, October 1978
Members with proposals for points to be taken up by the British delegate to the UNHCRS Executive Committee were asked to let the Secretary know by 19th September. It might be possible for the FCO to include such items in the official brief.
