It was agreed to invite Lord Elton as an individual member.
'Cambodia in Christ' had asked to become more closely involved in the work of SCOR.
It was agreed to invite them to join the Committee.
b) Other Organisations
Recent news had been received about the organisation Vietnam Warstrays.
The Free Vietnam Association had invited SCOR to be represented at a meeting in the House of Commons on 14 June. It was agreed to take no further action.
c) Tibetan Refugees
A letter had been received from the Tibetan Industrial Rehabilitation Society announcing changes in staff and programme.
From discussions at the recent ICVA meetings, it appeared that other countries and international organisations were reducing contribution to
TIRS and other Tibetan organisations which had already received considerable support. There were, however, pockets of need e.g. for elderly and for children which some organisations would continue to belp.
