1. I attach a copy of a letter from Hong Kong to Mr Figg which you may not have seen.

I understand that UN Department, who have co-ordinated approaches from Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok on this subject and relayed them to the Home Office, intend to call a meeting very shortly to discuss HMG's priorities in taking Vietnamese refugees. No doubt you will wish to attend such a meeting.
