Findings:

In companies providing sickness welfare schemes, 51.7% paid

all of the medical fees, while 48.3% paid only part of medical fees.

Of companies which provided sickness benefits, 50.4% paid

medical expenses for general practitioners, and 49.6% paid expenses involved

for both general practitioners and specialists. (Table 10020)

Of companies which paid medical expenses, 40.8% paid only

expenses for western medicine only, while 59.2% would pay expenses for

both western and Chinese medicine. (Table 10021)

For companies which paid medical expenses, 67.3% would include

hospital fees while 32.7% would exclude such fees. (Table 10022)

For companies which paid medical expenses, 62.2% would include

operation fees while 37.8% would exclude such fees. (Table 10023)

For companies which offered paid sick leaves, 62.5% of these

companies offered 1

30 days of full-pay, 15,3% offered 31 60 days

of pay, and 12.5% offered 121 180 days of pay. (Table 10143)

For companies offering half-pay to their employees, the results

were not meaningful for interpretation. (Table 10144)

In terms of no-pay leave, 65.7% of companies would permit

no-pay leave while 34.3% would not permit such leave. (Table 10024)
