Anyone who is resident in Great Britain can, if he/she wishes, pay contributions to the national insurance scheme from the date he/she becomes resident here. Advice about the payment of contributions can be obtained from any local social security office.
Part 7: Social security leaflets
Leaflet NI146 lists all Social Security leaflets and contains an order form for use when a number of leaflets are required. Individual leaflets in small quantities (5 or less) can generally be obtained from social security offices. Leaflets giving information about particular benefits are mentioned in Part 2.
