Priority of wages over other debts in case of bankruptcy or winding up

Within 7 days generally Within 3 days (on termination of contract by employer)

On the day on which a contract is terminated by the employee with notice.

Wages must be paid on a working day and during working hours at the place of work or any other place agreed to between the employer and the employee.

Not more than 50% of the wages for any period may be deducted in respect of damage to or loss of goods, cost of meals, accommodation, recovery of loans or advances, contributions paid to the Central Provident Fund and other approved benefit schemes.

Priority is guarantee law, up to a maximum five months' wages.

Thailand

Within 7 days otherwise payment of an interest of 15% per annum is required, payable every seven days.

Wages must be paid in Thai currency to the employee direct and at the place of work.
