Maximum overtime permitted

For male workers aged 18 years and above:

No statutory restriction.

For female workers:

Two hours a day and 200 hours a year.

For young persons aged 16 and 17 years:

Two hours a day and 100 hours a year

(from 1.1.78).

This will be abolished in stages by 1980. For young persons aged 14 and 15 years:

Overtime work is prohibited.
