An employer shall allow leave with pay under the preceding two paragraphs at the worker's request and shall pay the normal wage s for the leave period as provided by employment regulations or other provisions. The leave period may, however, be altered, if it would be a serious impediment to the business, operation of the business.

Article 47-I (Monthly leave with Pay)

An employer shall allow one day leave with pay per month.

The paid leave provided in the preceding paragraph may be taken accumulatively or may be taken separately for use of the paid leave days for one year at the free opinion of the worker.

Article 76 (Minor)

A minor who is subject to the provisions of the preceding article (apprentice training) shall be given 12 holidays with pay a year under the provisions of paragraph 1 of article 48.

Section 60

(1)

(a)

An employee shall be entitled to paid leave of

seven days for every twelve months continuous service with the same employer if he has been employed by that employer for a period of less than five years; and

(b) fourteen days for every twelve months continuous

service with the same employer if he has been employed by that employer for a period of five years or more,

and such leave shall be in addition to the rest days, holidays, and sick leave to which such employee is entitled under sections 59, 60D and 60F respectively:

Provided that an employee shall forfeit his entitlement to such leave if he absents himself from work without the permission of an en- ployer or without reasonable excuse for more than ten per cent of the working days in the year in which his entitlement to such leave accrues.

(3) The employer shall pay the employee his ordinary rate of pay for every day of such leave and if an employee has been dismissed other- wise than for misconduct before he has taken such leave, the employer shall pay the employee his ordinary rate of pay in respect of every day of such leave.
