When there is urgent work to be performed on machines, installations or equipment, in order to avoid serious- loss or damage to the employer or some other cause of similar nature;
When the work is necessary to prevent loss to perishable goods; and
When the completion or continuation of the work started before the eight hour is necessary to prevent serious obstruction or prejudice to the business or operations of the employer.
Any employee required to render overtime work under this Article shall be paid the additional compensation required in this. Chapter.

An employee shall not be permitted to work overtime for more than seventy-two hours a month:

Except in the circumstances described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) of subsection (2) of this section, no employee shall under any circumstances work for more than twelve hours in any one day.

10.
No child (i) or young person (ii) shall without the written permission of the Commissioner be employed as a workman on a rest day.
Notes:
(i) In this Act, "child" means a person who has not
completed his fourteenth year of age. The mini- mum age for employment is 12.
(ii) In this Act, "young person" means any person who has completed his fourteenth year of age but who has not completed his sixteenth year of age.
