If the period days for a maximum period of 12 months. of temporary incapacity lasts more than one year, an adjustment (at least by 20 per cent) should be made to the worker's earnings in accordance with the fluctuation of the wages paid to workers of the same trade of the enterprise to which he belongs.

Disability benefit:

Payment according to degree of incapacity which is classified into 14 grades:

Grades 1-3: Either an annuity compensation or lump

sum compensation.

Grades 4-14: Lump sum compensation.

Grade 1 Disability Benefit:

1,340 days' wages in the case of lump sum payment or 240 days' wages annually.

Grade 14 benefit:

Lump sum equivalent to 50 days' wages.

Bereaved family benefit:

1,000 days' wages

Funeral expenses:

90 days' wages

Medical benefits:

Medical treatment, surgery, hospitalisation, medicines, and nursing for a maximum of 2 years. If treatment lasts more than two years, a lump sum equivalent to 1,340 days average daily wage is payable whereby his medical benefits may be terminated.
