10. -If Mr Handy's whereabouts could be ascertained, it would I think be right to consider sending the papers to the Treasury Solicitor to see whether they think it would be worth suing Mr Handy for the £1,520. In order to evaluate the strength of the Crown's claim, they would no doubt wish to know precisely why the Crown thought Mr Handy's arrival in Hong Kong as late as 12 August would have rendered his participation in the project useless, when his arrival on 7 August would have been acceptable.

This would no doubt mean taking a statement from Professor Turner and calling him as a witness if the matter came to court.

11. I am sorry if I was wrong about the role of the ODM in this matter I had supposed that they had advanced the £1,520 from, the ir funds and therefore that they would wish to recover the money, they were accountable for it.
