Gorony Robertan 2. Hong Kong's performance compares favourably with that of other UK Dependent Territories, as well as a substantial number of Asian countries. But although the number of Conventions applied and ratified is in itself significant, even more important is the extent to which legislation based on these Conventions is enforced nationally. In this respect the OLA believes that Hong Kong's performance compares even more favourably, although direct comparisons are not always possible because of the different basis on which Conventions may be ratified or declared.
