1. The DOT have redrafted the joint covering submission

to Ministers, to take account of Miss Brown's discussion

with Mr Rogers yesterday afternoon.

I attach a copy.

2. I propose two small amendments which I have shown

in manuscript in the margins.

Otherwise, I think the

redraft is acceptable. I should be grateful for

authority to tell the DOT so.

3. The question of whether there should be another meeting

with the Australians before or after their approach to

third countries is being considered separately.
