higher class and the fare of his ticket,

his ticket shall be exchanged for a fresh

ticket to travel in the higher class of

carriage.".

Revocation and replacement of regulation 14.

10. Regulation 14 of the principal regulations is

revoked and replaced by the following regulation

"Persons travelling with in- appropriate tickets.

14. (1) Any person who travels on a

train with a ticket or period ticket which

is inappropriate to the class of carriage

shall be charged an additional charge of

double the difference between the correct

fare for the class of carriage and the fare

of the ticket held or the fare for a single

journey permitted under the period ticket,

as the case may be.

(2) Any person who travels on a train

with a ticket or period ticket which is

inappropriate to the distance of travel

and without a ticket appropriate to the

additional distance shall be charged

an additional charge of double the

difference between the correct fare for

the distance of travel and the fare of the

ticket held or the fare for a single

journey permitted under the period ticket,

as the case may be.
