Now THEREFORE I, SIR ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE HERDER GRANTHAM, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, by virtue and in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Article 4 of the Order with the approval of the Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury and of the Secretary of State for the Colonies do hereby PROCLAIM AND FIX the sixth day of July, 1951, as the `date from which the coins, particulars of which are set forth in the Schedule hereto, shall, provided that they have not been dealt with in any manner prohibited by law, be legal tender for an amount not exceeding two dollars.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the Colony of Hong Kong, this 4th day of July, 1951.
