Dear Mr. Tran,

Please refer to the Agreement between the European Economic Community and Hong Kong on trade in textile products initialled between the two parties on 3 December 1977.

Hong Kong hereby notifies the Community that during the curremy of the Agreement, it will not invoke the provisions of the Geneva Arrangement as they concern handloom fabrics of the cottage industry or hand-made cottage industry products made of such handloom fabrics, or traditional folklore handicraft textile products, as provided for in Article 12 (3) of the said Arrangement, without the agreement of the Community.
