The textiles CSP is also going to be revised for 1979 in order to take account of the bilateral agreements in question. New arrangements could be envisaged, which would. normally be reserved for MFA members and countries willing to enter into commitments similar to those resulting from the MFA. The purpose of these arrangements would be to achieve a substantial increase in the volume of the present GSP for textiles and to ensure that it is equitably allocated among beneficiary countries, at the same time giving more generous treatment to countries which have accepted sacrifices under MFA bilateral agreements.
