Worldwide production of Tovex® through 1977 in diameters 1 inch to 1.5 inches has totaled 43,200 metric tons (95 million pounds). Tovex® has been used throughout this period in the same manner as dynamite. Product uses include metal mining, quarrying, various construction applications, rock blasting, pre- splitting, harbor clearing, general blasting, and tunneling.

During Du Pont's four years of representation in the Hong Kong explosives market every effort has been made to demonstrate the performance and advantages of Tovex® to the Government, user, and the public. The following chart illustrates the many and varied test firings within Hong Kong by year. All tests were made with Du Pont supervision and several were observed by the Mines Department.
