permissions from the Director of Public Work etc, construct access

to the site, level and prepare the ground, construct the various

site buildings, install the plant, equipment and electrical fittings,

and commission the plant. We do not consider it realistic, therefore,

to undertake to bring the plant into operation in a shorter period

than stipulated in the conditions of tender.

Guarantee of Supply

ICI has operating factories in the Philippines for both NG explosives

and slurries and in Taiwan for the production of NG explosives. Each

of these maintains its own storage facilities and in the event of a

prolonged stoppage of the Stonecutter's plant adequate supplies could

be provided from these sources within the one month's storage capacity

for local consumption.
