Tender for the Grant of Stonecutters Island Lot No.1 at Stonecutters Island for the Establishment of a Cartridged Water-Gel Explosives Manufacturing Plant

AUTHORITY

The Governor in Council on 28th June 1977 after Memorandum XCC(77) 47 (copies already provided to Members) was discussed ordered that the site should be offered for sale by restricted tender.

There are two companies tendering, Imperial Chemical Industries, Millbank London and Du Pont (Hong Kong) Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. Inc. of the U.S.A. Both companies have imported and marketed in Hong Kong since 1974 through local agents cartridged watergel explosives of the type they propose to manufacture in the Stonecutters plant.
