The plan for the reinforcement of Hong Kong (Reference A) has been revised in the light of the comments received in response to Reference B.

The Fourth Revise of this plan is attached. There are no major changes from the previous version of the plan but it should be noted that:

Infantry battalion mortar and anti-tank platoons have been included 'on call.'
The UKCICC reference number has been changed.
The codeword for this operation is given in paragraph 53 of the plan and is only to be used to implement the operation and subsequently to refer to it. The Joint Theatre Plan number and not the codeword is to be used in all other cases when referring to the plan before implementation.
A. Joint Theatre Plan No 30 (Fourth Revise) comes into effect at 0001 hours GMT on 28 November 1978, aftor which time all copies of Reference A should be destroyed.
