8. Petroleum Products. In line with China's development of overseas markets for
its oil products so the composition of its oil related exports to Hong Kong is
changing with kerosene being supplemented by jet fuel, diesel and fuel oils which
were not exported to Hong Kong at all 3 to 4 years ago. Table VI shows the
development of the petroleum trade with Hong Kong. The major Chinese oil company
in Hong Kong is Far East Overseas Oil Limited (FEOSO) which was originally established
to handle kerosene sales but no longer does so. In a logical marketing extension of
its activities, and in order to increase the profit margin, FEOSO has moved into
