e Irish, who come and go as they please and have no problems with work permits. Yet these are British passport holders. Because some in Hong Kong are able to display ostentatious wealth does not mean we can abandon the rest, and the principles of Socialism are exportable to territories for which a labour Government is responsible. I know quite a number of the Chinese community in Derby, and work with a number of students. I feel we have an obligation which is not being met, and I urge you, as a matter of urgency, to set up a working party on the present and future of Hong Kong before a situation arises against which the Uganda Asian problem would seem trivial.
Yours sincerely,
