OVERSEAS LABOUR ADVISER: VISIT TO HONG KONG

You will recall that at the meeting of the Standing Committee set up to monitor the implementation of the Planning Paper on Hong Kong on 11 November it was

Mr Cortazzi's opinion that I should make an early visit to Hong Kong.

2. In demi-official correspondence with Mr Williams, the Labour Commissioner, we have agreed that I should visit the Colony between about 16 February and 1 March and he is now preparing a programme.

3. I should be grateful for your support in obtaining financial authority for this journey from PSD.
