The dispute has been going on now for about a year. main function has been to try and pour oil on troubled waters. It looks as if a satisfactory agreement may soon be achieved, since all the parties involved now seem to accept that Gulf

Air should be allowed to mount their services. It has however

taken some high level FCO pressure to persuade the DOT to stop prevaricating.
