NEW TERRITORIES ADMINISTRATION PROGRESS REPORT

Purpose
To make land avail- able for private development.
Grant of land to China Light & Power Co. Ltd., for new power station.
(a) Resumptions.
Progress made and present position
The property market continues to be buoyant; industrial land at Kwai Chung (Tsuen Wan) was sold for $849 and $948 per sq. ft; commercial and residential sites were sold in Tuen Mun and Sai Kung.
Compilation of terms of grant and assessment of premium in progress; clearance of site underway.
Next Quarter Targets
Sale by auctions and Letter A/B tenders for industrial, commercial and res- idential development
Completion of grant.
