Purpose

To invite private developers to develop certain sites under the Home Ownership

cheme.

Progress Made and Present Position

Tenders or private sector participation to develop two sites st Yau Tong and Tuen Mun closed on 28th July, 1978.

Eleven tenders were received.

Next Quarter Targets

To award tenders for the development of this 2 sites at Yau Tong and Tuen Mun.

Essential conditions are now being-To call for tenders checked/assessed by various

departments before the tenders are

submitted to a special board chaired by the secretary for Housing for consideration.

for a third site at Chai Wan.

Meetings with

Frivate Developer:

To obtain the views of rivate developers on a number of wide- ranging issues.

Heetings were held with chief executives of Hutchison Whampoa Ltd., Swire Properties Ltd. and withi the Real Estate Developers Association.

Meetings will be hel with executives of Ho Kong Lond, and with the Hong Kong and Kowloon Real Estate Associatio and the Building Contractors' Association.
