I enclose the usual bunch of Branch quarterly progress reports, except for the New Territories Administration report which has not yet been submitted and which I will forward when it appears.

When I last sent these reports I mentioned that the Social Service Branch report almost exactly duplicates the narrative section on Social Welfare and Rehabilitation in the tabular progress report. Would you have any objection to the social welfare and rehabilitation parts of the tabular report being dispensed with. I should be grate- ful for your views.
