La/Co Mr Ian Wrigglesworth (Teeside, Thornaby): To ask the
Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what arrangements are made to ensure Hong King civil servants are informed of and experienced in the policies and programmes of Her Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom.

There is close and frequent contact between my officials and
those of the Hong Kong Government, who are fully aware of our
policies and programmes. A number of British civil servants
are serving on secondment in Hong Kong and we are pursuing
the question of interchange.
