SECONDMENT OF MR WILLIAMSON

I spoke on 4 December to Mr Cummins in POD who informed me that they would be looking after all the nuts and bolts concerned with Mr Williamson's secondment. He had already obtained from Mr Green copies of relevant papers from our files, and was just in the process of drafting a minute from Mr Logan to Mr Hunter in PSD about Mr Williamson's terms and conditions of service. He described to me how he understood that Mr Williamson's secondment would be arranged, and I confirmed that what he said was very much in line with our understanding of the position. Amongst other things, POD, together with PSD, will be making the necessary arrangements to refund to the Hong Kong Government Mr Williamson's salary and superannuation contributions. There is therefore no need for us to take any further action on the note below from Finance Department.
