Phase I of the Home Ownership Scheme will

produce about 8,340 flats in 1979/80 in

6 projects.

Work is currently proceeding on Phases II and

III of the scheme and by 1984/85 the total

stock of home ownership flats should be about

39,000 which would represent 6.5% of the total

stock of public housing.

If response to the scheme indicates a need for

expansion or less probably reduction, the

proportions of rental and home ownership flats

in new schemes can be adjusted.
