HONG KONG : MINUTES OF THE 5TH MEETING OF THE STANDING

COMMITTEE

1.

The Standing Committee monitoring the Hong Kong planning paper met on 23 February 1978. I herewith submit the minutes, which were approved in draft by Mr Cortazzi. As usual I am sending a copy to the

Governor of Hong Kong.

2. Mr Cortazzi has suggested that the Minister of State, himself, Mr Murray and I should meet to discuss the course of action proposed at the meeting. If the Minister agrees I shall try to arrange this before the

Minister leaves for the Far East.

3. The Department is following up the other points arising from the Standing Committee's meeting.
