(d) Taxation

It was agreed that the department should review the correspondence that had followed the publication in 1977 of the report of the 3rd Inland Revenue Ordinance Review Committee, and consider what action might be taken to revive the possibility of introducing reforms in the Hong Kong tax system.

(e) Next Meeting of the Standing Committee

19. It was agreed that the next meeting of the Committee should take place soon after the Hong Kong Budget had been announced next year.
