HONG KONG ROYAL INSTRUCTIONS 1917 – 1977

ACTING GOVERNOR

In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause XIV

of the Hong Kong Royal Instructions 1917 – 1977, I appoint -

JOHN MORRISON RIDDELL-SWAN

Justice of the Peace, to be provisionally an Official Member

of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong with immediate

effect during the absence from the Colony of the Honourable

Edward Hewitt MICHOLS, Officer of the Most Excellent

Order of the British Empire, Justice of the Peace.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the

Colony on 1st August 1978.
