TECHNICAL APPENDIX
The sample was drawn from the SRH Master Sampling Frame. This sampling
frame consisted of a list of approximately 25,000 households in Hong Kong,
designed and drawn so as to be representative of all the households in
the Colony. The listing of households for this survey was done in
April 1977.
In August 1976 the Government Census and Statistics Department conducted
a by-census. Provisional population figures have been released and from
these we estimate the distribution of land households and population as
follows;
