I have the honour to inform you that I have appointed the Honourable James WU Man-hon, OBE, JP, provisionally and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure with effect from 29th December 1978 to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Executive Council during the absence from Hong Kong of the Honourable LI Fook-wo, OBE, JP.

Mr. Wu's previous appointment referred to in my despatch CR 6/1136/71 IV dated 21st September 1978 expired on 13th September 1978 upon his absence from Hong Kong.
