The trouble is that all these views are based on the point of view of stamp collectors. But their interest is to keep up the value of what they have already and keep down the cost of what they plan to acquive in the future. Natially therefore they are not going to take the same view

for as the territories (and their agents) who are out to screw collectors as much as they can get out of them. Distasteful though it may be, we ought to incline move to the latter them to the former side - I fear that in the past we
