The Solomon Islands intends to join the United Nations and
It will no has already applied for membership of the IMS/IBRD. doubt wish to be a full member of the Asian Development Bank and become a full member of the Lore useful UN Agencies.

Tuvalu will probably not join the United Nations or the IMG/IBND, but will probably join one UN Agency in order to benefit from UNDP. She will probably not join the Asian Development Bank. 5. The Gilberts are not likely to join the inited Nations but The question will probably joint one or more specialised agency.
They will of membership of the I/IBAD has not been raised. probably wish to become full members of the Asian Development Bank.

It is too soon to say anything about the New Hebrides.
We do not normally ask dependent territories approaching independence whether they are joining any bodies other than the United Nations, although we give them standard advice on how to jcin and the costs. If the Treasury needs this information we will of course ask if the territories will reveal their plans.

Hong Kong and General Department usually answers questions on timetables for independence, etc., and I believe keeps a list of such dates permanently up to date. You may wish to make some formal arrangement with llong Korg and General Department (Ir Levoir) to be kept aware of the changes in scheduled dates.

Meanwhile we will be sure to notify you that indepândence has taken place when the Solomons and Tuvalu achieve it.
