7. One problem will be to find a suitable replacement for Mr Cater. I am inclined to think that Mr Alan Scott is probably the most suitable candidate but this is not something which we should or need dictate to Sir Murray. It will however be necessary to remind Sir Murray of the political sensitivities of this appointment and ask him to let us have his views on a
successor.
