LIST OF SENIOR BRITISH EXPATRIATE OFFICERS SERVING IN DEPENDENT TERRITORIES
Many thanks for your letter of 8 September.
2. Richard Hand wrote (to Doggett) on 6 April, expressing surprise that Bermudians had been included in a list of "Senior British Expatriate Officers". He never had a reply; and I do not, therefore, know whether their inclusion was an oversight, or whether the list has been given an inaccurate title.

However that may be, the position is that, since your February 1978 list was published:
(a)
there has been no change in the Civil Establishment (Governor, Deputy Governor and Administrative Secretary);

Mr Astwood remains Chief Justice, but is a Bermudian, as Mr Hand said;
Mr Seaton is no longer Puise Judge. In his place there are two (acting) Puisne Judges, Mr Hector Barcilon, CBE, and Mr W N H Robinson, both of whom are Bermudians;
there has been no change in the membership of the Court of Appeal though, as Mr Hand stated, Professor Telford Georges is not U.K. domiciled: he lives at present in Barbados, but is, I think, probably domiciled in Trinidad;
the Solicitor General is now a Canadian, Mr Saul Froomkin, QC - I am not sure whether you will wish to include him.

I find the list interesting, principally because I know, personally, many of the people listed, and am glad to learn what has become of them; but I cannot pretend that it is really necessary.
