All members of the Dependent Territories Senior Appointments Board have now agreed to Mr A C Stuart's name being put forward as Resident Commissioner, New Hebrides. The next step is to put the proposal to the Secretary of State for his approval. Normally this has gone to him without being submitted through PUS but the last time it happened the PUS let it be known that, as Chairman of the Board, he wished the papers to go up through him.
