1. In the course of a talk with Mr Hobley (Attorney-General) I had on 14 March, he mentioned that a vacancy in the High Court had occurred by reason of the retirement of Morley-John, J. I said that this had not bee notified to us and you subsequently confirmed this.

2. Mr Hobley and I therefore looked at folios 9 and 32 on this file, which you had kindly sent me the next morning. Mr Hobley believes that the practice in folio 32 is the right one and I am inclined to agree. If so the procedural note at the head of the file needs revision.
